Two new courses were introduced under new curriculum at Undergraduate level.  Following innovative approaches were used to teach to the students of these courses.

 

Course on – Soft Computing Tools in Engineering

 

·          To bring more attentiveness in the class, audio-visual teaching approach was introduced.

·          Lecture notes were made available from course website  

·          Students were encouraged to submit three term papers by email to keep them in touch with advances in the areas of course content.

·          Concept of Group project implementation, demonstration and seminar presentation was introduced.

·          Discussion forum was launched to discuss among students and with course teacher.

·          Overall the course was paperless.

·          2006-2007 – 114 Students

·          2007-2008 – 123 Students

·          2008-2009 – 124 Students

Course on – Knowledge Based Expert Systems in Structural Engineering

 

·          To bring more attentiveness in the class, audio-visual teaching approach was introduced.

·          Lecture notes were made available from course website  

·          Students were encouraged to give seminar to keep them in touch with advances in the areas of course syllabus

·          Concept of independent project implementation, demonstration and seminar presentation was introduced.

·          Overall the course was paperless.
